Congratulations to Ryan de Jonge from the Golf Management Campus whose hard work on the range, both with his coaches and practising alone, has paid off. He made the cut and finished tied for 48th in the Cape Province Open at George Golf Club – his first big tournament event.

Matthew Bennet is just 13 years old and yet he should be an inspiration to us all. He only started playing golf last April and is already down to a 5-handicap!
He takes private lessons with Elsabe, who is quick to point out that Matthew is extremely passionate about the game. He just loves everything about it and while he is putting in the time to practice, he’s having so much fun doing it.
Last year Ceanon van Aardt joined us to do the Sports Turf Manaintenance course. He was a beginner golfer and in just over 10 months he managed to get down to a 4 handicap. With the assistance of our Head Teaching professional Elsabe Hefer, he was able to show us what determination and hard work can do!
Cathie Markus hadn’t played golf in around 12 years until Elsabe got in touch with her via email during August, and encouraged her to come down for a free assessment.
Since then she’s undergone an assessment and had a few private lessons with Elsabe.
Well done to Cathie for her determination to get back into golf and to Elsabe on igniting the fire!
“I’m really enjoying being involved with golf again and determined to get better. Thanks so much for your initiative and help getting me enthused again!”

We love that Michelle acknowledges Elsabe’s role in her golf game’s improvement.
Dear Elsabe,
Thank you so much for the lesson today, it was great for all of us to meet you. Even though you changed significant aspects of my grip and back-swing, I played a 97 today - my personal best. We will contact you for some follow up lessons soon, your coaching today made a huge difference. Thank you so much.
Mohammed Gani has recently become a member at Zwartkop. He is 17 years old and is a keen golfer, playing off a 15 handicap. He has been playing with irons that are much shorter than standard, and with steel, stiff shafts.

A couple of weeks ago Ian did an assessment with Sallie Herbst. Sallie was having trouble with his driver and during the assessment Ian noticed that although Sallie had an M4 driver which was set at the correct loft, he was still hitting the ball high and to the right.
